Blending music, dance, folklore, and craftsmanship, the small but powerful Hội An Traditional Art Performance House is one of the best places to experience the soul of Vietnamese performing arts.
The Hội An Traditional Art Performance House (Nhà Biểu Diễn Nghệ Thuật Cổ Truyền Hội An) is a cultural space dedicated to preserving and showcasing central Vietnamese folk art and music. Located right by the river, the venue hosts daily live performances of traditional music, folk dances, and even includes a free raffle at the end.
Shows typically last 30–45 minutes and are designed to entertain all visitors, regardless of which language they speak, and to offer a glimpse into Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage.

Each show features a curated mix of central Vietnamese cultural traditions, performed by professionally trained artists in colorful, authentic costumes. While the content may vary slightly by day, the typical program includes:
Hear the melodic sounds of ancient Vietnamese instruments such as the đàn bầu (monochord zither), đàn nguyệt (moon lute), and sáo trúc (bamboo flute). The musicians perform classical compositions and folk songs that reflect the rhythm and sentiment of life in Quảng Nam province.
Enjoy choreographed performances based on traditional festivals, village rituals, and legends. Common dances include:
Lantern Dance - Inspired by Hội An’s iconic lanterns
Fisherman’s Dance - Depicting the daily life of coastal communities
Cham Dance - Paying homage to the ancient Champa culture that once thrived in central Vietnam
Don’t be surprised if you are invited on stage to try a bamboo dance or participate in a folk game! These interactive segments bring humor and energy, connecting audience members to local traditions in a fun and memorable way.
Some shows feature demonstrations of traditional crafts like silk spinning, wood carving, or lantern assembly, offering insight into Hội An’s artisan legacy.

Entry Fee: Free with your Hoi An Ancient Town ticket
