Why You Should Visit

If you are looking for a high-production, immersive, and truly memorable finale to your day, this is it. The combination of the ocean breeze, the massive scale of the water screen, and the intricate choreography of light and fire creates a sensory experience that is difficult to replicate in a traditional theater. The show is designed to appeal to all ages, making it a perfect activity for families, couples, and photography enthusiasts.

What is Special About It?

  • Massive Water Screens: The show is renowned for its immense water screen—the size of a football field—which serves as a canvas for high-definition 3D projection mapping. This makes the characters and landscapes appear to float magically over the waves.
  • Innovative Pyrotechnics: The production uses automated Sparkular machines that create impressive fountains of ‘cold sparks’. These sparks are much safer than traditional fireworks and produce 80 percent less smoke, ensuring that the visual clarity of the lasers and projections remains high throughout the performance.
  • A Journey Through Time: The story follows a prehistoric bird named Shahbaz and his teenage friends, Rachel and Felix. Together, they travel through stunning landscapes that represent the Industrial Revolution, the Silk Road, the Mayan Pyramids, and the African Savanna.

Facts and Production

  • The Successor: Wings of Time succeeded the popular Songs of the Sea show in 2014. It was designed by the French events company ECA2 and cost approximately S$10 million to produce.
  • The Stage Structure: The central stage consists of nine large triangular panels (the largest being a diamond shape) that are mounted on a frame 20 feet (6 meters) above the water surface. These panels are arranged to resemble the wings of a bird, echoing the theme of the show.
  • Recent Enhancements: In 2022, the show was upgraded with a ‘Fireworks Symphony’ finale that is four times longer than the original version, providing a much more intense and colorful conclusion to the story.

Take the Sentosa Express monorail to Beach Station. From the station, follow the signs toward Siloso Beach; the theater entrance is a 3-minute walk away.

Traveler Tip

You should arrive at the theater at least 20 to 30 minutes before the show begins. Since seating within each zone (Standard or Premium) is on a first-come, first-served basis, arriving early allows you to secure a seat in the middle of the gallery for the most symmetrical view of the projections. If you wish to save money, you can skip the premium seat; the standard seats in the middle sections of Zone B still offer an excellent perspective.
