Backpack and Snorkel Purple Travel GuideTanjong Beach is the most secluded and serene stretch of sand on Sentosa. Located at the far eastern end of the beach coastline, it is a crescent-shaped hideaway framed by tall coconut palms and tranquil waters. While the other beaches on the island focus on family activities or high-energy sports, Tanjong is defined by its ‘chill’ atmosphere, making it a favorite for couples, pet owners, and those looking for a quiet place to read a book under the sun.
It is best to take the free Sentosa Beach Shuttle to get there.
Here at Backpack and Snorkel Travel Guides, we promote self-guided walking tours.
But we realize that not everybody likes to walk by themselves in a foreign city. So, just in case that you rather go with ab guide: NO PROBLEM! Please see the GuruWalk and Viator tours below.

You should visit Tanjong Beach if you want to escape the crowds and the noise of the theme parks. It offers the most ‘resort-like’ feel on the island, where the pace of life slows down significantly. It is also the best place on Sentosa to watch the moon rise over the water or to enjoy a more sophisticated beach day centered around lounging and gourmet dining rather than active attractions.

Getting There |
Take the free Beach Shuttle to the very last stop (Tanjong Beach). It is about a 10-minute ride from Beach Station. |
Accessibility |
There is a paved boardwalk that runs the length of the beach, though the sand itself is not wheelchair-friendly. |
Snorkeling |
There is no snorkeling; the water is very hazy, and the sea floor is sandy |
Since Tanjong Beach is at the very end of the shuttle line, it is the furthest point from the food courts at Beach Station. There are very few shops here, so if you are not planning to eat at the beach club, make sure you bring plenty of water and snacks with you. If you want a daybed at the club on a weekend, you will need to book it several weeks in advance as they are highly sought after.
