Canopy Park is the futuristic, 14,000-square-meter (150,700-square-foot) leisure attraction located at the topmost level (Level 5) of Jewel Changi Airport. This space is designed as a vast recreational wonderland and indoor garden, containing a variety of immersive activities that contrast with the naturalistic forest below. From world-class sculptural slides to suspended nets, it offers a high-energy environment under the sparkling glass canopy of the building.

Why You Should Visit

It offers a fantastic range of recreational and photo opportunities for both families and independent travelers. If you have a long layover or wish to begin your trip with a sense of adventure, this park provides a unique way to experience the height of the Jewel complex. The park combines whimsical landscaping with interactive play, allowing you to walk among the clouds or get lost in a kaleidoscopic mirror maze while enjoying views of the Rain Vortex from above.

What is Special About It?

  • Manulife Sky Nets: This attraction is divided into two parts. The Walking Net allows you to stroll across a taut web suspended 82 feet (25 meters) above the ground, while the Bouncing Net is a 820-foot (250-meter) long giant trampoline where you can reach heights of up to 26 feet (8 meters) above the park floor at its peak.
  • Discovery Slides: This is a sculptural playscape that is both an art piece and a functional playground. Standing 21 feet (6.5 meters) high, it features four integrated slides and a viewing platform that offers one of the best perspectives of the surrounding greenery.
  • Mastercard Canopy Bridge: For a true thrill, you can walk across this 164-foot (50-meter) long bridge suspended 75 feet (23 meters) in the air. The center section features glass panel flooring, allowing you to look straight down to the first floor of Jewel.
  • Foggy Bowls: These are four concave bowls where children can play amidst gentle puffs of mist. The mist is designed to create the illusion of playing among the clouds.

Architecture and Facts

  • A Fantastical Wonderland: While the Shiseido Forest Valley below is designed to look like a real-world tropical forest, Canopy Park was designed to be a ‘fantastical’ space. It includes the Topiary Walk, featuring life-sized animal sculptures made of plants, such as orangutans, crocodiles, and peacocks.
  • Complex Engineering: The Discovery Slides alone weigh approximately 77 tons (70 metric tons), of which 55 tons (50 metric tons) is stainless steel. The structure had to be precisely engineered to sit atop the Level 5 floor without compromising the structural integrity of the Jewel dome.
  • Sustainable Environment: The park is maintained at a constant spring-like temperature. Even at the highest point of the Discovery Slides, an integrated air-conditioning system ensures that the environment remains comfortable for active play.
