Do you love Mexican food, and do you wonder why food in Mexico almost always tastes way better than at home?
Well, the answer is two-fold: In Mexico you have access to the right ingredients, and in Mexico you have locals who cook food to recipes that have been developed according to their traditions and perfected over generations. And that often means that food preparation takes not just hours, but days! And you can taste it.
There are mole recipes that have 50 or more ingredients, and even a supposedly simple salsa that you may whip up in 10min at home or buy in a supermarket, will take a Mexican chef hours to prepare. And guess what: It will taste at least 10 times better.
There are several cooking classes that are available in the Los Cabos area.
The popular Cooking Classes at Flora Farms (map, reviews, website) on the outskirts of San Jose del Cabo can only be booked on the restaurant’s website. We recommend it, because my wife participated in the Salsa Cooking Class and she liked it and learned a lot about the ingredients and the specific way to prep them.
The class started with a tour of the garden and picking the vegetables. She learned how to prep vegetables, make different salsas, and how recipe changes affect the flavor. Every participant got a tiny cookbook with the recipes so that they cook the same salsas at home.
My wife thought that it was definitely worth the money.

After the cooking class, spend the rest of the day relaxing on your favorite beach in Los Cabos.
