Compared to Delhi, Jaipur has a much more limited supply of large, modern hotels, AirBnBs, and homestays. However, it excels in boutique and heritage-style accommodations, offering great value across the 3-star and 4-star categories.
Traffic in Jaipur is similar to the conditions in Agra, manageable but with consistently congested areas and high noise levels. Be aware that the area near Amber Palace is notorious for its gridlock, especially in the mornings.
Unlike Agra or Delhi, there isn't a single, defined luxury hotel corridor. Jaipur’s best approach is to find a centrally located hotel or guesthouse that you like and use it as a comfortable base.
Pros: You get quick access to attractions in the walled city (Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar). Travel to in-town sights usually takes 10–20 minutes by metro, taxi, Uber, or tuk-tuk. Jaipur’s wide variety of charming, solid 3-star accommodations means you can find great value.
Cons: Regardless of where you stay, traffic to the iconic Amber Fort (which is outside the city center) will always be a challenge—plan accordingly.

As mentioned earlier, we liked Hotel Arya Niwas, which is a solid 3-star accommodation.
