Mexico City Street Art Bike Tour - Mexico City Purple Travel Guide
Besides diverse neighborhoods and ancient history, Mexico City is also known for its many gorgeous murals. To better explore the street art in Mexico City, you can join a guided bicycle tour through Cuauhtémoc. We show lots of photos so you know what you can expect.
The tour starts at a bicycle shop directly near the Fontán Reforma Hotel. The tour company uses the the bicycle shop to get you a bicycle that fits your needs.
If you go during the week, chances are that you may be their only customers, which makes for a very good private tour.
The tour takes 2-2 ½h, depending on how many questions you ask and the tour guide will have explanations or stories for many, but not all, of the murals that you are going to see. Make sure to bring water and food as the tour goes from 10am - 12:30pm and riding a bicycle makes hungry.
Besides murals, the tour also brings you to the Plaza de la República where the Museo Nacional de la Revolución is, Biblioteca Vasconcelos and the Plaza de las Tres Culturas in Tlatelolco.
If you have missed any of the destinations in the Backpack and Snorkel Purple Travel Guide for Mexico City, then you will have the chance to see them in the afternoon.
