Kayaking at Green River Reservoir State Park (map)

Green River Reservoir State Park is a mostly undeveloped low-impact recreational use only state park.  The total size is 5,503 acres and the Green River Reservoir is 653 acres.  The park’s 28 remote campsites are located around the reservoir and can only be reached by boat.  Only boats powered by electric motors up to 5 mph and human-powered watercraft are allowed, but there are no boat rentals in the park.  Besides camping and boating, other popular activities in the park are: fishing, mountain biking, picnicking, and swimming.

As the park is mostly undeveloped, kayaking here is very good.  We brought our inflatable kayak and spent a few hours enjoying nature in this peaceful and quiet park.  The boat launch is here, near the parking lot and the dam.
